Lime Ice 49 Merc

Well, after being gone from the hobby for several years I thought I'd dive back in and start building some of the 125+ unbuilt models I have collecting dust in the basement.  For my first project I decided to build the Revell chopped 49 Merc.  The paint job is straight from the can Testors One Coat Lacquer Lime Ice and it was cleared with Testors One Coat Wet Look Clear.  I built the model mostly box stock with the exception of the following modifications:  Cadillac engine from an AMT 49 Ford Coupe kit, fan belt made from masking tape colored with a black Sharpie marker, plug wires, shaved front turn signal lights and windshield wipers, tailpipe extensions made from flared aluminum tubing, shifter made from a straight stick pin bare metal foil on the dash and window trim.  Here are some pictures.....hope you all enjoy.
