toyota fj45 hotrod

Hello guys, newbie from Indonesia here. i was inspire by this pict below to build my own version of hotrod

and my version is the 70's fj not the 80's,notice the difference at the door.in 1/24 scale:

most of it is scratchbuilt.here is the progress:

After draw a 1/24 plan of fj45 body, i transfered them to 1mm styrene plate,then cut out

start building, use 2 part epoxy putty for the roungd corner

the chassis was made by 2.5 mm thick evergreen

the engine and rear axle is Revell parts,trying the best normal position:

 

chassis done,rear axle and engine mount set,and primed :

front parts, scratchbuilt from evergreen styrene, suspension leaf is aluminium plate:

filled with epoxy putty:

after filled and cured,then sand it down and engrave the inner part away:

the cab is done,start build the roof:

compare to 1/35 fj 45 body:
